LEAD CANDIDATE
Matthieu Humeau
An engineer in data modeling and artificial intelligence, Matthieu has lived in New York for about ten years, where he built his family and professional life.
Commitments
Head of an environmental collective in his company, volunteer at the French Mutual Aid in New York, where he was designated volunteer of the year, as well as with an association to help French-speaking migrants. Activist of the action group of France insoumise in New York.

Through his associative commitments, he supports people facing difficult situations, especially in the face of the cost of living and the complexity of administrative procedures.
Convinced that the French abroad must be fully defended and represented, he is committed to bringing a social, feminist and environmentalist voice in a local political landscape often dominated by neoliberal logics.
As an advisor to French people abroad, he wants to make consular councils real places of decision, fair and transparent, at the service of citizens, and not simple administrative registration chambers.

Christine Tuaillon
Biology teacher. She taught at SUNY Public University and currently practices at CUNY Public University. Volunteer with the Zohran Mamdani Campaign (Frenchies for Zohran).
Commitments
Engaged in multiple ecological and social actions within her community, she has been a union activist with NYSUT (New York State United Teachers) and a member of Français du monde-ADFE for many years, where she has held the position of secretary of the New York office.

At the same time, Christine joined the list led by Matthieu Humeau to put her commitments and her forty-year experience in New York at the service of the French community of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Bermuda.

Cédric Boismain
Artistic director and expert in visual communication, established in New York since 2013, co-referent of French people abroad within Benoit Hamon’s Generation·s Movement, volunteer with the Zohran Mamdani Campaign (Frenchies for Zohran).
Commitments
Creator of the Très Bons Documentaires collective that offers free screenings to the French-speaking community, Cédric has also been a sit the bureau of Français du monde-ADFE New York for several years.

Born in Nantes, and growing up in Paris where he studied graphic arts in the public and where he joined the FNAC’s live shows division.
Since his installation in New York in 2013, he continues his creative career by moving towards animation and video.

Isabelle Barrière
Professor in the speech therapy department of Saint Elizabeth University, NJ, and member of the RISLUS (Centre de Recherche sur le Langue en Milieu Urbain) in CUNY.
Commitments
In her work, she participates in the defense of linguistic diversity, the preservation of flora and fauna in accordance with the humanistic and social values defended by our list of the environmentalist left.

Originally from Rouen, she obtained her doctorate in linguistics in London. Arriving in the United States in 2001 for a post-doctoral degree at Johns Hopkins, she moved to Brooklyn in 2004, where she continued her research on the acquisition of many languages among young children. In close collaboration with the various linguistic communities of New York and the Caribbean, his work has been recognized by a dozen elected United States and New Yorkers, as well as by the awarding of the Academic Palms in 2019.

Alban Denic
For 13 years, Alban, an architect, has lived in New York where he founded his family.
Commitments
Co-facilitator of the action group of the France insoumise in New York, volunteer at Très Bons Documentaires as well as in a sponsorship program for young talents in architecture.

At the end of the pandemic, he moved closer to the LFI movement, then joined the NFP campaign during the 2024 legislative elections.

Florence Borot
A scientist, Florence joined the list led by Matthieu Humeau, convinced by the values of solidarity, equity and social progress that she carries. Volunteer with the Zohran Mamdani Campaign (Frenchies for Zohran).
Commitments
Florence participated in the creation of the first union of Columbia University in New York.

Olivier Bellostas
Grandson of Just among the nations, Olivier is a citizen of the world with French, Spanish and American nationalities. He grew up traveling around the world, which shaped his openness and international commitment.

As an assiduous assessor, he ensures the smooth running of the elections.

His political involvement began in 1986, when he took part in the demonstrations against the Devaquet bill, intended to reform French universities. Subsequently, he became involved in the JOC, before becoming a member of the action group of the France Insoumise in New York.

Marie Luron
A teacher in public schools in New York, she is committed to defending the rights of French people abroad, carrying their voice with strength and determination.
Commitments
She is also a volunteer at the screenings Très Bons Documentaires, thus contributing to the dissemination of French culture.

She works to create links between communities, in order to promote intercultural exchanges and strengthen local solidarity. By acting for a concrete impact across borders, she implements projects that go beyond the immediate geographical framework.

Tuscany Foussard
Proud Franco-American born and raised in New York, Tuscany, currently works in logistics at a fashion prêt-à-porter Showroom.
Commitments
As a former Barista they were involved in unionizing 86 Blank Street locations to become part of UFCW 1500. Being put n the bargaining committee, they were a part year-long arduous negotiation process to secure a first of its kind barista CBA that is the largest in NYC history.

Tuscany has always advocated for better representation of dual-nationals and their contributions to the French Diaspora & Culture. From access to French Social Services to access to immigration lawyers at the consulate, Franco-Americans can do wonderful things when included.
They love it here, and they want it to get even better.

Emilia Decaudin
In 2020, she was elected one of the first openly transgender Democratic district chiefs in New York.

Emilia Decaudin is an engineer, a Democratic socialist, and an activist for the rights of transgender people.

Achille Vanderhaeghen
Marseille filmmaker who has become a New Yorker for about ten years and a new American citizen.
Commitments
Achille expresses his convictions and activism across the cultural sphere and various associations, coordinating the planning of musical events, fundraising and other initiatives in the districts of Bushwick, Bed-Stuy and Williamsburg since 2017.

Stéphanie Jeanjean
Art historian and university professor, specialist in social and feminist artistic practices, in New York for more than twenty years.

Stéphanie participated in the legislative campaigns of the NUPES and the New Popular Front, she was also a volunteer at the screenings Trèss Bons Documentaires.

Catherine Benoît
Professor of Anthropology at Connecticut College (New London, CT) since 2001.

Co‑founder of the New York‑based action group of LFI in 2016, she contributes to the movement’s reflections on overseas territories, migration, and France’s colonial history.

Engaged for more than thirty years on issues related to borders, migration, and deaths at sea in France’s overseas departments in the Americas and the Indian Ocean, she is a member of several associations that support migrants in France and the United States.
